Innovator of the term ‘sickle cell warrior’ in 2005, which has been adopted by the entire sickle cell disease (SCD) patient and family community, both nationally and globally.
Tosin recognizes that words have power, and she helped elevate and humanize the patient-nurse dynamic in SCD. Founder & President of the global nonprofit Sickle Cell Warriors, Inc., the largest patient-run 501c3 nonprofit for sickle cell disease in the world. Registered Nurse for 24 years. March of Dimes ‘Nurse of the Year’ State of Oregon nominee. Master’s degree in Nursing and MBA in Health Care Management.
Mom of 9-yr old twin boys Ariel & Orion. First-born daughter to Pastor Dr. & Dr. Mrs J. Ola. Big sister to 3 amazing queens. Beloved Big Aunty to 28,762 warriors (and counting).

Ms. Sterling is a caregiver for over 20 years of a person with Sickle Cell Disease.
She is a Parent Advisor for the Patient and Family Advisory Board and Family Advocate for the Pediatric Care Delivery Committee for one of the largest healthcare systems in the United States.
Additionally, she co-created and initiated the patient navigation program for families of pediatric patients, co-wrote staff procedures, and communication plans.
Patrice has worked in healthcare for 12 years and will bring to this project a unique perspective of the organization and family desires. She is excellent at rapport building and has coached nurse teams, ER teams and families alike with the objective of creating a provider/family partnership.
Busayo Ola Ajayi is a healthcare leader and innovator with over 15 years of experience in human resources, talent acquisition, diversity and inclusion, and leadership development.
Adedayo is a seasoned product manager, with more than 15 years of experience building and managing dynamic and complex products, and bringing them to a successful market.
She is a dedicated Web Manager at Sickle Cell Warriors Inc.,an organization committed to combating the stigma surrounding sickle cell disease. With a passion for empowering communities and enhancing online presence, she ensures the organization’s digital platforms effectively raise awareness and support for those affected by sickle cell.
