Genetic Testing for Families Affected by Genetic Recessive Disorders

DNACheckup is a fairly new non-profit organization. It is geared towards providing affordable DNA testing to families of patients with previously diagnosed recessive genetic disorders. First, patients can order the tests online. Tests ship directly to the person who orders them. We work with the lab Gene By Gene in Houston, Texas. Samples sent there get DNA testing. Patients can then view their results online which are available in the next few weeks. The current cost of a test is $200 per participant. So with additional funds, the goal is to provide testing for free or at a discounted price!
